    Acts as a storyteller and makes seemingly dull topics fun and exciting! Uses creativity, strategy and connectivity to support CS’ position as the industry knowledge leader in specialty commercial building products. Working alongside the Interiors Division marketing staff, sales staff and marketing automation team, plans, creates, distributes and measures digital marketing content for demand generation.
    Combines industry knowledge, sales insights, customer viewpoints, technical information, engaging language and graphic beauty into impressive content marketing materials that our customers find informative and look forward to reading. Creates collateral that is the envy of our competition.
    Works independently and with diverse internal teams, customer groups and external partners to execute a best-in-class content marketing program for a lively, fast-growing company. 
    Provides granular and broad knowledge of grammar and writing to encourage accuracy and maintain credibility through all CS marketing collateral and as such, is trusted as the writing expert.


    - Ideates and creates original, insightful customer-facing content pieces that attract attention, promote engagement and inspire action. Pieces could include tip sheets, white papers, case studies, editorials, videos, continuing education, how-to guides, emails, blogs, etc. designed to generate inbound marketing traffic and lead nurturing.
    - Writes professional, engaging, persuasive and credible copy for content and social media that converts target audience members into leads. Coordinates with outside public relations firm if necessary.
    - Creates and promotes content and activities using CS’ social media channels and other digital communications outlets to build relationships with our digital audiences.
    - Furnishes feedback on all marketing collateral (internal and external) to foster accuracy, consistency and creativity for all content pieces.
    - Conducts research activities internally and with external customers (in conjunction with other marketing specialists) to identify market trends, audience interests and competitive differentiators. Tasks can include internet research, data gathering, website analytics, site visits, etc.
    - Interviews and surveys internal SBU stakeholders and external customers to uncover underserved audiences and value propositions.
    - Collaborates with marketing and sales staff to strategically plan content marketing activities that support both lead acquisition and retention. Works with others in marketing to prioritize activities and set goals for campaigns. Partner with internal teams to execute complex digital and graphic program elements (implements digital form fields, landing pages and progressive profiling to successfully capture lead information).
    - Leads discussions on and contributes to content marketing best practice information and ideas during planning sessions, meetings and before, during and after the content creation process.
    - Collaborates with others in marketing on a customized content marketing calendar which ensures timely delivery of content to drive growth and encourage positive customer actions to each interiors division business unit.
    - Pays specific attention to industry and audience keywords and phrases to improve search engine optimization (SEO).
    - Ensures that each SBU has a lead nurturing program track in place.
    - Conducts A/B testing on emails, landing pages and other content marketing pieces to continually hone in on the statistically most effective methods with our audiences.
    - Develops and executes programs and campaigns within CS’ marketing automation system (Marketo). Coordinates with Marketing Data & Communications Specialist to manage workflow, lead pipeline and program success measurements.
    - Coordinate with internal teams to measures campaign success using Google Analytics, Marketo, Salesforce and other tools. Analyzes and communicates campaign success measures to Interiors Division Marketing Specialists.
    - Assist with creating updated corporate brand manual to ensure brand and language consistency throughout communications through suggestions, research and meetings with internal teams.
    - Performs other related duties as assigned by management.


    - Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university with major in communication, marketing, advertising, public relations or journalism and one to three years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    - Experience with building content that targets all stages of the marketing/sales funnel.
    - Demonstrated expertise in inbound marketing planning, execution and measurement.
    - Experience in creative business or journalistic copywriting.
    - Experience and knowledge with Adobe Photoshop and InDesign.
    - A self-starter who can solve problems creatively and work well with others.
    - Maintains and grows professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications and attending professional conferences.
    - Preferred: Experience in B2B commerce; experience in the building products industry
    - Preferred: Knowledge with the LEED Green Building Rating System and sustainability concepts in the commercial building environment.
    - Familiarity with and use of social media tools and technologies and demonstrated ability to foster relationships online.
    - Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with competing and changing deadlines while effectively bringing them all toward a clear goal.
    - Strong interpersonal skills and project management skills. Must have great creative energy and ability to generate ideas.
    - Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office products and internet proficiency.
    - Excellent attention to detail, including copy editing.
    - Collaborative team player.
    - Ability to type accurately and efficiently from rough draft, involving a standard business vocabulary or a limited range of specialized, recurrent terminology.
    - Good telephone etiquette and interpersonal skills.
    - Good time management and organizational skills.
