    Construction Specialties (CS) draws upon its almost 70 years of extensive expertise to design and manufacture custom, high-quality products that solve complex building challenges around the world.
    Plans, conducts, and supervises engineering research, design development or manufacturing engineering assignments. Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within Mechanical Engineering and applies them to accomplish goals.

    - Coordinate manufacturing, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and requirements of extrusion equipment
    - Prepare specifications for purchase of materials and equipment
    - Operate computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks
    - Develops and maintains Engineering (design and testing) documentation per ISO standards that support the business unit quality system (manufacturing)
    - Generates AutoCAD details based on conceptual sketches or needs to develop custom design to meet the needs of the customers.
    - Prepare specifications for purchase of materials and equipment
    - Assumes additional related responsibilities and duties as assigned by management


    KNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE/ EDUCATION: (Minimum Education and/or Experience required)
    - Bachelor of Science degree (Electrical Engineering, Mechanical, Electro-Mechanical or Structural) or equivalent from four-year college.
    - Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in design of mechanical systems
    - Must be a self-starter, with demonstrated autonomy, able to handle unexpected events and take advantage of opportunities to achieve results to meet and exceed expectations
    - Must perform as a flexible team member and be a proficient leader and developer of technical people
    - Must be able to communicate with employees at all levels in the organization
    - Excellent verbal and written communications
    - Root Cause Analysis
    - Working knowledge of Finite Element Analysis and related software
    - Experience in creating test systems to analyze product performance
    - Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor or Solidworks
    - Knowledge of machining and welding techniques
    - Ability to generate Bill of Materials
